Rattling Brake pads
Rattling Brake pads
Well I have 85k on my 04 2500 4X4 and the brake pads on the front were getting close so I went down to the dealer and got new pads. Put them on no big deal here about a month later I start hearing rattling from the font wheels that stop when I a press the break peddle. I double checked and everything is tight. Other then the rattling everything seems fine. I’m not sure what to do about this. Has any one else had this happen?
Sounds like they didn't "glue" the pads in. You can go down to your local parts store and get some silicone like glue for the pads that helps to stop the rattling and squeking by gluing the pads to the pistons. Works most of the time. I had to do it to my 01 when i put new pads on the rears. It doesnt hurt anything and they are still easy to get out when you need to replace again.

Did you replace the metal clips on the end of the pads?
