quick afe install question

how in the world did yall get those bottom bolts on that secure the intake housing? i have everything together but those!!! i am ready to crank it up and hear the whistle!!!

they are a son of a gun

i used a open end wrench to stick through the holes in the bottom and a ratchet on the top

I took out the right wheel well and did it, alot easier then trying to bend in all ways to get them tightened.

well i got it installed without the intake housing. it is being support by the filter leaning on the radiator support mount. i am NOT keeping this intake. CHEAP! CHEAP CHEAP!. I am going to look into a S & B or a AEM Workhorse.

So if anyone is intrested I have a Stage II AFE Pro dry kit for sale.

I just used one of the lower bolts, that was 25,000 plus miles ago...

Yeah man, I used the one bolt on the bottom and you are all good! Pull the inner liner as stated above that makes it really easy as well. Dont give up, it is a sweet setup.

I took the bolts and wrapped a piece of wire around the threads. Then from underneath stuck the wire through the holes. From on top just pulled the bolts up through the holes with the wire. Started nuts and then removed the wire from the bolt. Used open end wrench through the holes to hold for tightening.

Haha, i didnt even mount the 2 bottom bolts nor the radiator bolt. Had mine put on since well, few hundred miles of being brand new, now i got over 13k, and it has moved at all.
