How is the mileage? I know...too soon to tell.
Soooooo what are your plans for this weekend? I just know you've got some kind of trip planned! I would....
Congratulations Wexman. Was the truck you had on order a dually also. I forget. Anyway I also arrived in newark yesterday along with about 6 other trucks for my dealer. My dealer had a lot of ordered trucks that all came in together. If they put them all on the same car carrier, what a nice site that will be driving down the LIE.
Let us know some first impressions as well a MPG. When was your truck built?

According to the Insight printout for my truck, it was probably built around 1/19, then sent to storage. Considering it SAT in Vera Cruz, and was put on the ship that arrived in Baltimore only three days before my ordered truck, I'm wondering if the guy that ordered it was as disgusted I was with the ordering process, in addition to his buyback issues.
I LOVE the dually - I had a SRW ordered, but I had almost gone with the dually. Rides like a limo!
Mileage - overhead computer says 10, but I have literally had all stop and go driving since I picked it up on Wednesday, short hauls. I think it's more like 13-14, based on how the fuel gauge is reading, and my mileage. I'll have a chance to "stretch its legs" tomorrow - taking a little 32 mile one-way drive, mostly highway high speed and back. Until it gets a few hundred miles on it, it don't want to REALLY push it anyway, although, I understand that some FULL THROTTLE ROMPS are actually a good thing to do, right?
I completely forgot to ask about the reflash, although I doubt it was done, since the truck had arrived at the dealer on 3/17, and essentially sat. I printed out the TSB yesterday. I have the "pinging" that seems to be standard, but no hesitation or flat spots. Granted, the weather has not been that cold, so maybe I won't notice anything until next winter.
Do you recommend I get the reflash as a matter of course, or only if it seems to be needed?
Thanks for ALL your support guys through this process. It's nice to be able to RANT to people in the same boat (literally!).

Wexman I hope you enjoy your truck as much as I have enjoyed mine. Hopefully some of yall that have the new 325/600 get good fuel mileage. It took mine till about 25,000 miles before I started getting descent mileage 17 to 18 mpg at 65mph hwy. Give it time yall get it broke in. I hit 2000 rpm range it goes to about 15.5 to 16 mph but I ain't worried about the mileage I am more concerned about the years of ownership of this beast I want to pass it on to my son. So he can drive for a few more years in this truck.

Tomorrow will be the first day that I will get it out on the highway and really be able to romp on it a little bit. Looking forward to it.
I'm like a kid in a candy shop here.
