lamp out

mark check all your tail lights. my buddies dually had that happen and it ended up being a tail light bulb out. replaced bulb and all was good.

There is also a flash for the Lamp Out warning. I has to deal with people replacing the bed and lamps. I had the same problem when I replaced my Taillamps with the APC ones. APC finally had to replace the lamps due to the incompatability.

the lights don't have to be on. If you put on a signal lamp or hit the brakes it can cause the same thing

I see yo hve the Southern Comfort Conversion, what exactly is that Did they change out the bed?
to fix the problem just have DC do the TSB that addresses bed conversions, it turns off the Lamp out check to the rear lamps or somthing along that line.

On Sunday morning I heard the chime and assumed it was my low fuel warning but when I glanced down it was the lamp out indicator. It turned off a second or two later and hasn't been back on since. To my knowledge all lamps are good. Let us know if you find anything out.

if you do a search, i had the same problem. after 3 trips to the dealer it was a cracked tail light assembly. dealer changed the both, no more "lamp out" chime

I wonder what is happening, lights are off, does not do it all the time only ever so often, but just started this Sunday past. Comes on and off really fast 10 or 15 times then goes away for a couple of days?

Mine did the same thing. Checked all lights and they was fine. when off for a day or two and it (lamp out) came back on. All lights still fine. Well the light bulb was good just the blinker would not flash. So I pulled the tail light and switch the bulbs (all three are the same) and have had no problems sense. Now the flashers that’s a different story. Don’t flash when on some times flash the right side that I am signaling to the left.

I had this problem as well. There appears to be something wrong with the taillamp assemblies themselves. Once they replaced them, all was good. I actually had a brake light that wasn't operating, I thought it burnt out. Went to replace it, and the bulb was fine. That's when I took it in.

I would start there, many people are finding the same problem.
