No Left Turn Signal?

Done alot of searching and can't find anything on my specific problem. Front turn signal flashing fast and rear not at all which tells me rear turn signal bulb out. Replaced all rear bulbs and nothing. Bought the truck several months ago and it had a break controller installed when I first saw it and it was removed when I picked it up. Not sure if everything was working fine then. Truck also has a trailer plug in rear of the bed and all of the under truck wiring looks good. Any thoughts on where I should start? Truck is an '06 auto 2wd mega cab dually all stock.

I just had the turn signal assembly on both my trucks replaced under warranty. My '06 cost me $170-ish and the '08 was free since it fell under the 3/36.

No explanation for it either, except the dealer told my wife said its common.

Do a search on the multifunction switch.

Did you have a signal at the connection when you pulled the tail light housing for bulb replacement?

Do you get the lamp out chime and indicator on the dash?

Kris, what were your symptoms on the '06?
CRR-I've seen some multi function switch threads but it seems they are all dealing with the right turn signal coming on when the left one is suppose to. Mine just doesn't work at all. And there is no chime or lamp indicator out on the dash. No codes either.

Last month the left rear turn signal on my truck failed. A new bulb did not fix the problem. Swapping the light assemblies left to right had the problem now switch to the right which told me that the problem was in the holder. On a very close inspection of the contacts for the bulb I could see very slight signs of heating. Cleaned all the contact areas and bent the pins to apply more pressure to the bulb. Problem solved.

06 and above have a TIPM that needs reset.

Check the voltage at the plug that feeds the light bar that stan mentioned..

We had the same problems on both trucks but it happened about a month apart. She thought there was a bulb out, but the bulbs tested fine. She took it in and the dealer found the turn signal lights weren't getting power from the turn signal switch.

They tested the switch in the '06 and found it was bad. A couple weeks later the same thing started with the '08, so I told my wife to use the warranty and take it in. They tested it, too, and found it was failing .... sometimes it would work, and others it wouldn't, so they just replaced it.

I swapped the light bars and the right one didn't work in the left side. In all of these cases did the front left blink rapidly?

you can get the wiring diagram here http://www.dodge.com/bodybuilder/200...arlighting.pdf. check the wire at total int power mod. connector C6 pin 4 wt/dg 20 ga wire. if power is present {on module} you have wiring issue. if power not avaliable good luck. new module or flash

I received a recall notification from Dodge stating that the multiswitch for my 06 was being warrantied for 10 years 150k miles.

You may want to look into it.

Sorry to sound so dumb but I've never bought a used truck before. Would the warranty still be valid for me since I bought the truck used?

I received a recall notification. In a recall campaign it does not matter if the truck is used or out of warranty, if the vehicle is subject to the recall they have to do it. It is worth your time to look into it.
