No left turn signal at 7 pin tow plug

2003 dodge ram 2500 I am not getting a left turn signal at the 7 pin tow plug or the 4 pin connector under the bumper. The truck turn signals are ok just at the tow connectors. I've checked the fuses in the box for trailer turn signal and they appear to be ok. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

More than likely a bad connection or a broken wire. I have seen wires broken inside the cover, but it is not that common. You're probably going to have to trace the wire back.

If you don't have one just get you a $2.00 trailer wire tester and poke it through the skin on the wire starting in the plug itself and then move to right behind the plug, odds are pretty good your problem is right there at the connection. Your 7 pin plug is probably what feeds your 4 pin so if it's bad you wont have either.

Have you tried hooking up to a different trailer and seeing if the problem is the trailer rather than the truck ?

open up the 7pin connector..... sometimes wires get corroded... thats a good easy place to check.

There are seperate fuses for trailer wiring versus vehicle signals. Check those, I spent about 1/2 hour checking mine then decided I would read the owners manual.
