New Tire help

looking to buy new tires for 05 CTD 4x4 quad cab. Not sure what to go with looking at BFG A/Ts, Copper STT, and Goodyear mt/r in 285/70/17 on stock rims. Do mostly on road and a bit of beach driving. What do you guys think? any other suggestions for good tires?

This is a set of BFG AT KO 285/70/17 on stock aluminum forged wheels. I think the BFG is an excellent tire so far. Wears well. Rides well. I think they are good all around tire with a little more aggressive tread than stock BFG Rugged Trails.

Check my pics in my gallery. 295 nittos. Perfect fit and they'll probably make it about 50k.

My 285 BFG ATs have been great on the road and beach.

I checked the Mickey Thompson link that Hemi Dart posted. Those are pretty lite duty tires. The load rating on the 33 are barely above a C rated tires (although they call them Ds). Doesn't looks like something to put on a 3/4 ton truck.

I had BFG A/T's in the 315 size on my truck. I had to take them off because of the severe "death wobble" vibration. Never again will I use a tire with a soft sidewall on my Dodge.

I have been running factory size Cooper Discover ATR's They are great in the snow and on the road. Also they are not noisey at all.
