New Improved Weather Stripping

I don't want to beat a old horse to death, but I've done a search and can't find where to get it. Does anyone have a link where I can order the new improved weather stripping? Thank you.

Had mine replaced under warranty because they were ripping so the dealer should be able to get them for you.

No warranty for me with 47,000. I can't find it, but someone said they ordered on line, new improved weather stripping for $18 for a set. Unless maybe that was a dream I had one night, maybe better cut back on the wine.

Gee, here I go again. I replaced them once for tearing and was happy with them, tolerating wind noise from them. Now to get the new ones. At least they are simple to change. I looked at my son's 06 and they are quit a bit different. They seem to fill the gap.

Hi Al, sorry to seem like I'm following you around but I promise I'm not!

I updated my door weatherstripping to the newer 2006 style just recently.
The newer style is redesigned so the door lip does not rub and tear them like the original ones.

TSB 23-049-05 will cover it for free if you are still under the 36 month warranty.

My 36 month warranty is over so I purchased them directly from the dealership.

Here are the p/n's.

Quad cab door seal right 55277190AB
Quad cab door seal left 55277191AB $18CDN each.

I also updated the windshield molding to the new 2006 style. Goes between the windshield and the front edge of the door.
It has a ledge to keep the bugs out from behind the door lip.

Molding 552771186AC
Molding 552771187AC $51CDN each.

The dealership had tons of all the parts in stock which tells you that they are commonly replaced.
The weatherstripping comes rolled in a bag, and looks "wrinkly" when 1st installed but the wrinkles go away after a short while.
Super easy install and well worth it in my opinion.

If you want to see before you buy, just check out any new truck at the Dodge dealership lot.

Hope this helps.. Joe..

Hieres a link to a 2005 TSB regarding the drip rail weather striping. It also includes the part numbers.
