My mirror got destroyed
I pull out of my driveway to head to work this morning and I make it about 100 feet pass the house and whamm my mirror gets shattered!! A Dodge Cummins headed the other direction (with his tow mirrors folded out) collided with my folded out mirrors. We tried to avoid hitting each other but with our narrow 1 lane country roads it was not possible. After the collison we both stopped and checked to make sure we both were ok. Come to find out he is a Sherrif headed to work. We both decide that there is nothing worth making a report over and to take our losses. Any body know a good place to get replacment mirrors? How much do these things cost?

First thing I did when I bought the last truck was take those stupid flip up mirror s off and put on three pointers. You'd be surprised at how close you come to nearly hitting things with those bulky, butt ugly mirrors in the way. Also it blocks you're view on little children too close to the truck!

Just had the driver's side tow mirror assembly replaced at the dealer.
Mirror Assembly: $367.00
1/2 hour labor: $43.00
Tax: $30.28
Drive out price: $440.28
This was for the power adjust, heated version of the tow mirrors.

I just got my estimate from the dealer. I now know I also have to replace the driverside window. Aparently the mirror hit the window so hard it scratched the glass (5 large scratches).
Mirror: $357.00 (OEM)
Driver side window: $78.00 (salvage window)
Getting hit by a truck as same as mine: Priceless

Ebay has the 3rd gen tow mirrors new in box for around 250 to the door and 2nd gen tow mirrors (which I bought a while back) for $210 to the door.
$440 to get one replaced is robbery...
