My cracks are just like 53's.. I have a set of 315's ready to go on but if I can get a set of 285 for free and then sell them I'm ahead of the game..

Thanks for the info

Shane
I did not notice a number on my warranty card, all the warranty card said was.. open the phone book and look for dealers in your area and take it in??

Spare tire.........I almost screwed myself on that one, I called michelin back while my tires were being put on and told them that I was going to a 285 and then the lady told me they will only replace it in a 265. She said that I should not be going to a bigger size and they would not cover it. I just said ok thanks, and never said a word......

Well I just got back from sears and they would not up the tire size to 285 they would only warranty my stock size and load rating
But they did do the warranty
they ordered me 5 brand new 265 BFG AT
Man I tried hard to get them to give me the 285's but they would not budge they made me pay the difference in the two tires but Michilin(SP?) is paying for the mounting and balancing
I would call Michialin and file a claim first then go to a dealer they recommend.

The difference between the stock tires and replacement tires is like
13 bucks per tire and they want me to pay that.

I could not see any cracks on the spare but we did not even look very close

This is why I did not go to Sears.....I read this a couple night ago and today I went to a reputable tire dealer in Tulsa and they are allowing me to do whatever I want to do to replace the tire just pa the difference and there doing 100% being I olny have 3000miles on them. The Sales person said that Michelin does not know what tire Im putting back on it so they dont care what I pick. She said this is like the 20th truck she has done on the New dodges

SOOOOOOO......new tires and rims are on order--just havent decided what Rim I want to go with YET. Will make a decision tonight prolllllly so if someone want to show me some pics with like a 315 tire feel free.

Got 5 BFG 285/70R/17's today and only paid the difference of $4 per tire. The expensive part was the 4 Mojave Teflon rims I put them on. 4WheelParts gave me a deal on those and said they would be happy to help anyone with warranty issues in the Bakersfield area. Ask for Mo.
The tires and rims look great. Many thanks to this website.

I called all morning to find a dealer that would help and sears was the only one. Now it is to late for me because they already have my info for the warranty

But I have a friend of a friend that owns a tire shop and after I told him about it he is checking to see if the guy can just trade me after I get the 265's for some 285's....hopefully it works out

I'm going to get my reading glasses on when I look at my tires to see if they have cracks. Got my Megacab in Dec. I've got 4600 miles on it already.

I just called my local 4wheelparts and the couldn't have been any ruder about it
they could care less about my warranty claim.
Said there was nothing they could do about warranty let alone upping the tire size!!
