Got 5 BFG 285/70R/17's today and only paid the difference of $4 per tire. The expensive part was the 4 Mojave Teflon rims I put them on. 4WheelParts gave me a deal on those and said they would be happy to help anyone with warranty issues in the Bakersfield area. Ask for Mo.
The tires and rims look great. Many thanks to this website.

I tried a long time and just decided to go to there website and find a authorized dealer and went there. GLAD I did to. I wasnt held to the restrictions of the tards at the SEAR roebucks folks. The tire place I chose allowed me to get what I wanted.
Might try that because I believe all Michelin is going to tell you is to go the a dealer and have it checked out before they issue a claim.
Could possibly save yo usome time.

If there is someone that is getting their tires replace from michellin and does not want 285's........like if you are wanting to get a set of 315's or 325's I would be willing to buy your 285's from you. Let me know if you are interested.

At 4WheelParts they said to pick out any tire I wanted. Hell, since I was buying rims I could have gotten 18's or whatever I wanted. Michelin authorized a store credit for the price 4WheelParts sold them for. I think it was $202 apiece. Alvin was the name of the guy at Michelin the store rep dealt with.
