I would pay money to be on hand when that thing was taken in for warranty work.

I can picture everyone from the Dealership walking around it scratching their heads and dialing cell phones

I agree with that... A while back I went to the dealership that I bought my truck from. The first salesman that walked up asked me who painted my truck I told him I bought it this way from this dealership... He tried to argue with me that Dodge never made a yellow diesel.

Anybody out there in Texas know the name of that shop??

Gentlemen - Sorry if I'm a D/A for not reading through this whole thing. I don't know if it has been established if DC is or is not developing a long bed Mega Cab (code name LBMC ). All I know is that it seems as a few of you ladies started squabling and got Larry E's panties all bunched up.

Now for the briefing: I am working with an undercover operative who came from DC JTE (Jeep / Truck Engineering). He still has close contacts within that organization. I have assigned him the task to obtain information pertinent to the original post by any means necessary. He has been dispatched to the region. These activities will be referred to as: Operation LBMC Recon.

But if you guys have established this information already, I'll pull the funding for this operation, shut it all down, and deny any involvment and deny that the operation ever existed. Awaiting further instruction.

first of i am new to this forum and am finding allot of great info. thank you
second i am not sure of the exact rules on this site, so i am posting a link to a company thet i have been in direct contact with and am currently in the planning stage of having a truck built. i am not advertising for them ,just simply passing along the info for the rest of us who whant one.

http://www.megacablongbed.com/

as i said above i have contacted these guys.
as for the warrenty they say the thing effected is the frame warrenty , wich is only good for 36,000 miles any way. they have a 4 day turn around with prior appointment reqiured. the cost is 4500.00 . they are using factory painted quad cab long beds so the color will match perfectly.also they wil do single or dual wheel conversions.
this is the phone number i have been using to talk to them if any one whants to call them ,feel free they are great guys. 1-800-561-1605.
they also say thet they will work with youre dealer if you whant to go that way, just give them the number and they can work it out.

joe
