Lary,

You say that the picture with the link to bayer is ok but heres my concern.

My thread WAS NOT an advertisement. It was simply that I finally got a full billet tranny. I talked about how great their service was and they were a great help. At the end of the post I put a link to their site for anyone who was interested. That was the thread of mine that got completely deleted.

Please explain to me the difference between that and post #22 on this thread. Maybe I'm just a total moron but I see gray area.

Thank you,

Lucas

When I clicked on the bayerauto link it took me to their advertisational (pardon my Bushism, there! ) website, so they must be a paying DTR advertiser? Even though there is also informationistics as well? EDIT - Sorry, meant to say informationalisms...

If I understood the rule(s) correctly:
You pay - you get to advertise with text, photos or links to your own stuff
You don't pay - you can't advertise your own stuff, but you can share info
(but not sell for) about other people's/companys' stuff.

That link was posted here as information, note that the person who did it is NOT trying to sell you anything. That means it is NOT an ad.

As to your mystery tranny thread that disappeared, I went through ALL of your posts TWICE I see where you love HTS and have said it MULTIPLE times without any issues.

I do however fail to find a tranny thread from you that was deleted. I think you typed it up and hit preview post and failed to post it, you just THOUGHT you did.

They do not disappear, we move them to a moderated threads forum or they are soft deleted, meaning an Admin can see it, but you can't. There is no removed thread of yours, all moaning you have done, hijacking multiple threads, complaining about this tranny thread has been for NOTHING!

You made a simple mistake and didn't hit the post button after you typed it up, then you went to bed. Next day you found it gone and you have been angry with us ever since. GET OVER IT!

I'll take one. Theyed sell a million, now only if it said 4500 or 5500 then Dodge would CRUSH the other truck whatevers.

I think it looks great. But man that's a looong rig! For me and my present fifth-wheel, the shortbed version would be all I needed and I kinda like the new dually fenders. They're different. However, if Dodge made this from the factory and I was looking at getting my retirement rig. I would go for this version even when I can't really justify needing a Mega cab when that day comes. The "Micro-Mutts" don't take up much room in the 99 Quad-cab as it is now!

The one thing I wonder about this modified version, is the ramifications of warranty and liability afterward. I think back to all the concern that everyone had when the new frame came out with "No drill.... No welding" when installing hitches. What would a modification like this compromise?

I never thought about warranty. I bet DC would throw a fit over it.
