Mega-Cab Long Bed?

Hi,
I need a new truck. I of course only want a Dodge.
Does anybody know if there will ever be a Mega-cab with an eight foot bed?
Dealer said no but they usually don't know squat.
Thanks in advance.

Peter

You'll either have to wait, or find an 05 Quad with the extended box.

Dealer said no ,Thy don't but it is in the works. The thing is the mega cab is the same chasy/frame as the 05 4 door long bid/ so the mega cab is the longest production truck to be built maybe. I have the 04.5 4 door long bid now cant Waite 4 the MEGA CAB 4 DOOR.

I'm not sure where everyone is hearing that a long bed mega is in the works... all indications seem to point to the opposite.

Don't get me wrong, I'd absolutely love a long bed mega cab. I would be first in line for one. But everywhere I've looked seems to say "No long bed mega cab"

If someone has proof otherwise please speak up! A long bed mega cab may be the only thing I'd give up my 01 for.

Better check your facts...According to every person I could talk to from Diamler/chrysler there are NO PLANS TO BUILD A MEGA CAB LONG BED!!!!This is why I'm trying to figure out how to put my 5.9 into a 4 door Ford with a long bed.

The turning radius has gotta be huge.
I wish my 05 quad cab with 8' bed would turn shorter

Also check out this website http://www.autoworldmt.com/ and there is one called www.cummins-conversion.com . I checked these out a whole lot but just decided to go with the Mega Cab because when I looked at all the hassle it just made sense to me.

There is a company in upper Central Texas that stretches trucks. I can't remember who they are. I almost bought a 96 Crew Cab Dually two years ago from a guy in California. It was stretched and had a cab the size of the Mega Cab. I'll see if I can upload a picture of it. Good looking truck.

Anybody out there in Texas know the name of that shop??

Dave

Go to www.fordcummins.com and they will be able to help. There is a guy that works at Avalanche Engineering that has put cummins in both of his 2 Suburbans he owns and the newer one is sweeeeet.

Just take it to a conversion place... It wouldn't be very hard if you had the tools.
