Light problem
Light problem
I am having a problem with my interior lights/headlights.
The problem started after I replaced a small sections of wire in the rear wire harness. After making the repairs I tested the lights and at first did not find anything wrong. It started shortly after, my dash lights are barely able to be seen at night, turn signals either work or don't or left is right or both, and right is not at all or both left/right. The headlights when in park go on and off by themselves.
the driver's side rear door lock does not work, the rest do, I already installed a new lock/latch assembly and still does not work. I had the tpim removed and serviced and no real change but the map/dome lights now work manually.
at this pioint I'm a little frustrated as to what direction to look into.

I would go back and take real close look at what you did with the wire replacement. As you stated, "the problem started when ...." Take everything apart again. Bet you find something like a partially shorted wire or maybe a wire becoming bare and cross circuiting on another wire.
Let us know what fixed the problem.
