Have an 04(that's pretty old)--
Any problems with clear coat peeling on roof??? Rest of paint is really good.
Am I the only one ??
Body shop wants $ 700+ to repaint roof,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

The first place to go on my '03 was the top surfaces on the fiberglass fenders......Ben

 

My 07 is good so far, but my 97 the roof and top of hood did just what you are describing. I do see it on Dodges more than others.

Since it is the roof, if it is just the clear, you could have them scuff and just re-clear, should save you a significant amount of money and should look 90 percent at least.

 

Sun fade on horizontal surfaces... I've got it on my 04 both roof and hood. You are not alone. I have not decided if I'm just painting the two faded panels or will spring to have the entire thing done.

 

I would wet sand , maybe start with 600 or 800 grit and work up to 1500 -2000.. Then I would clear it with a good clear coat.
