Hoss...thanks!

I sometimes forget to search since I have a habit of reading every darn post on this thing!

Looks like I will go buy some bulbs and get ready to change...or just change them outright so I don't give johhny law a chance to ruin a friday night.

I had that same problem on my 2003. It wasn't actually the bulb, it was the circuit panel that the rear bulb on the back plugs into. I had the dealership replace the circuit panel and everything was fine. I first tried putting new bulbs in and noticed that the old bulbs were not blown.

same problem here, I cleaned and tightened the bulb contacts(by squeezing them closer together) and no problems since. This was rec. by the service writer at my dealer.

Any kind of a high resistance in the circuit will cause the lamp-out light ,along with an annying chime. In my case the bulbs had been installed dry,the base should be dipped in conductive grease.
