My trucks lamp out light is coming on and off driving down the road even when the lights are off and no brakes or turn signals on.
Has anyone else had this problem?

 

hi , had the same problem about amonth ago , the bulbs are real sensitive , i had on lights out , and light still on , i went ahead and change all tail light bulbs , problem went away .

 

It seems to be common. It is an indication of a bulb/circuit bad or going bad. Most common is the left brake light bulb. Mine finally stayed on constant for a couple of months until I found out the left brake light did not work if I was moving. It worked fine standing still.

 

thanks for your help, it goes to the ******* on thursday for another issue I will see if the extended warranty covers it. If not I will track it down

 

Mine came on too, about 2 weeks ago. Then it went off and everything was fine. Then about a week ago, it came on again. I looked really close and could tell the brake light bulb on the pass. side has 1 "element" inside it not working.

I bought a package of 2 new bulbs today to replace it.

I doubt that is going to be a warranty covered issue unless it is a persistant problem.
