"Lamp out" lamp on and off

This dash idiot light is coming on and off periodically. When it is on, I cannot locate any "out" lamps; head, stop, etc. Thoughts?

You need to check all 3 bulbs in the tail lights. Look at the contact wires on bottom of the bulb. Sometimes the get hot and kind of melt into the plastic I have had it happen twice in 2 years. It will give you the exact problem you desribed. I have now replaced my bulbs with a bulb that has a glass bottom. That way the wires can't melt into the plastic.
