disable "lamp out" warning

Does anyone know if the lamp out warning that chimes and lights up can be disabled by the dealer? I am getting ready to put a flatbed with LED's on my truck and do not want to add the resistors to the wiring. I think I can walk around my truck and tell if a light is out.

Thanks for that info. By any chance do you know the TSB # or what it is called? Or maybe a site where they are posted? It would sure make the wiring job a lot easier!

I had the same problem on my 03' if you are talking about the same thing I am thinking of. I kept getting a lamp out warning light but there was no lamp out. Turns out there is a circuit board on the back lights where the bulb plugs into that was bad on mine, they replaced the circuit board and it was fine after that.

You need to go to your dealer afther you put the bed onand have him do a reprogram to acommadate the single element bulbs that run on a flat bed . Then your set and you don't have to worry with the lights out chime.

Thanks everybody for the info. I printed out the TSB. I am not sure if it will help, they are talking about dual filament bulbs like the 1157 and I am using LED lights. I have been told that the amp draw for LED is too small for the FCM and it thinks a lamp is out. So, I just want to completely disable the output from the FCM. Does anyone know if the DRBIII can do that? Thanks,
tripper
