Well after waiting 8 weeks to the day, my truck is in. Picking it up Wednesday. Dealer is getting reg etc. Tuesday. Can't wait.

What I'd like to know is, I've read some of the stories of things that people found days/weeks months after getting the truck. Broken, missing, loose etc.

I plan on going over it real well, they'll even put it on the lift if I want. Other than obvious dents and stuff. What sort of 'hidden' problems have been showing up lately?

I would climb under the truck and check on top of the fuel tank. There is a spigot on the top of the tank that should have a rubber hose attached to it to prevent water from getting into the fuel tank. Check the obvious and question anything that you are unsure of.

 

Other than having two different mirrors (std and tow) on mine, all has been fine. Knock on wood.

 

Are you having them put on the Jake brake? If so, make sure you get the old serpentine belt back to keep as a spare.
