Installed Trans Gauge

I bought the Issopro trans temp guage, the front trans line from Massdiesel, and the top of steering column single guage mount. All came under $200.

A couple of notes for those getting ready to do this, and to compare to others that have already done it.

First, I didn't like the fitting arrangement supplied with the trnas line. It was a brass pipe coupling, a brass tee with the side port plugged. Then the sensor was to screw into the end of the tee. In my mind, the sensor was too far away from the fluid. So I did away with the tee, went to the hardware store and found a brass male to female 1/8" pipe fitting. The hole was too small for the sensor, so I simply drilled out the center just big enough for the sensor. Now the end of the sensor is right at the ID if the line fitting.

I drilled two 1/4" holes in the blank cover in the firewall that the clutch assembly would use. This is where I ran the wiring for the power wire and sensor wire. Once thru, I sealed it with Duct-seal. The electronic box that comes with the guage, I velcro'd to the aluminum bracket under the dash, again where the clutch assembly would be.

The rest was easy, not that this was so far. The trans line took only a few minutes, only lost maybe a half a cup of fluid. The steering cover mount was easy to install the guage, and onto the steering column. Looks nice, clean installation.
