built trans what does your trans temp gauge read
for those of you with built trans what does your trans temp gauge read when your getting on it and towing with it? thanks

i'm in california here and i see 160-175 around town with avg. 70 temps. will run closer to 160 when fully warm and if the outside temps are cold in the a.m.
towing is a different story...i go to the high dez and the mountains (sierras). towing my rig anywhere from 7.5k to 10k weight, it will run 190 on flat terrain to moderate grades. going on steeper grades, i.e. 10% and such it will go into the 210-220 range. last summer i towed up to 9260ft and the temp spiked up to 250. that was before i got my smarty jr. i have not seen any temps over 210 since i've loaded the tow program and no egt's over 1150 pulling fully loaded up 8-10% grades in full lock up @ 60mph....
