Installed EZ Change Drain plug, forgot washer
After being traumatized by the initial oil change snafu, I installed a EZ Change Drain plug and forgot to install the washer. It does not leak, do you think its ok to leave it until my next oil change to put in that washer or do I have to dump $70.00 worth of synthetic oil?
Exactly, grab the old drain plug, assuming you still have it.. and use it to quickly cap the drain hole while you put the washer on the other one... or just use your thumb.. its just as easy.

We use to do this all the time at the oil change shop i worked at when we were in your situation, shop vac over the engine oil fill, the suction will keep the oil in the engine while you drop the plug and put the gasket on. Two things it will not work with the dipstick OUT dipstick has to be in, you will only have a couple of seconds before you start sucking oil definatly two man job.
Most metal washers are meant to apply reverse tension to the threads to keep the bolt or whatever from backing out.
Rubber, cork, felt washers are to prevent leaks.
I'd just leave the filler cap on and dipstick in and when the oil's good and cold (viscous) use the 'thumb' method.
Better than worrying about it.
Jiffy Lube left my buddies off his car and it drained on the freeway in a matter of seconds!
He just replaced the oil and the car ran but who knows what it did to the rings, etc?

Grit Dog is right. I would not leave that plug in ther without the washer. It's going to leak, and you'll lose your oil. You won't notice it until your pressure drops and the engine starts to make funny noises.
Drop it into a clean buck or jug, then pour it back into the engine when done.
