I Have A 2007 Dodge 3500 Cab And Chassis The Cruise and the horn are Not Working Also The Air Bag Light Is On And I Really Need The Cruise Control Anyone

 

Sounds like your clock spring in the steering column has broken....You will need to remove your steering wheel (Disconnect power with the key on for at least 10 mins before you mess with the air bag) to get to the spring. Dodge sells replacements.

Make sure you keeps everything centered when you reinstall. Because you can overextend the new one and brake it as well. BUT it should come locked pre-centered. Just make sure your wheels are straight when you pull the steering wheel.

OR didnt see it was a 2007....let wnty take care of it.......

 

My honk works and the cruise will turn on, but after traveling 100 ft the cruise kicks off and wil not work again til the truck is shut off and restarted.
What could my issue be.
I really need cruise back or the Driver Seat Mod, lol.

With all due respect, you more or less just contradicted everything in your first post.....we are only as good as the info you give us.

Anyway...with these year trucks, they use a CAN-BUS style system that more or less needs to be taken to the dealer to program a new component, if any is to be used. At least the Nissan CAN-BUS systems were that way when i was working there in 01-03......

Normally issues with the Horn, Cruise and Airbag all at the same time indicate the clock spring in the column.....you might have an intermittent issue going on here….

 

My cruise only works for a few seconds then kicks off.
The cruise will do the same thing again if i restart the truck.

will the spring being broke cause the airbag light on the dash to come on and my truck is out of warranty too many miles on it any diagram on how to replace the spring

 

A faulty clockspring usually takes the cruise out and the airbag light will stay on.I have had it happen on both my 01's and a friends 03.If you only have an airbag light I would suspect something different.

 

Just noticed that you are not the original poster....haha...was busy when i tossed up that info yesterday...im sorry! You sound like you have something else going on...could be in the CS....but it might take a bit more digging to find out. If the horn/Cruise are inop or intermittent and Airbag light are on...i would lay money its in the column somewhere....


Yes....horn and cruise inop...and AB light will be on......change the spring and have the dealer shut off the light...(You might have to have them reinitiate the cruise due to the CAN-BUS nature. This system is not like the -/+ wires we are all used to. More or less its a two way communication that turns pretty much everything that a switch controls into a control module. The ECM has to be told what to look for, for it to talk to the new part and subsequently for the new part to work.) Since you are not replacing the cruise switches...you might be ok....change it and see what happens...you AB light will still be on, but the horn and cruise should work. Dealer will need to turn the light off (OR competent mechanic)
