Horn/cruise Not Working
I bought this truck about a month ago and have been working on little things here and there. I've got to the horn/cruise controls on the steering wheel. On the steering wheel, when you try to push the horn, it feels like nothing is there. The horn doesn't work neither does cruise. At first I thought maybe the airbag had been deployed at one time but the title is clean. I pulled off the front cover of the steering wheel and the wire for the horn runs up to the front of the wheel in front of the air bag, and looking at the back of it I can see that the airbag is in there. I don't know enough about it to take the airbag part of it off. Also, all of the fuses are good. Anyone ever had this happen?

More than likely, the clockspring has gone bad.
It is the thingamajig that allows you to have electrical connections, but still be able to turn the wheel without breaking wires.

Not sure exactly where it is, but no, it's not in front of the airbag.
It's down where the wheel turns.
Pretty sure the airbag has to be removed to change it out.
You might have some luck having it replaced at the Dealer under a "safety recall",
as the airbag wiring also goes through it.

Sounds like a bad horn button is a long shot...but to rule out a bad horn button…
I had a horn button that was sticky. I was able to fix it by removing and cleaning the button. I used a small screw driver to pry out the entire switch. The button itself then can be “un clipped” from the button housing. I located some replacement buttons and after looking at the buttons outside of the steering wheel realized my buttons could be fixed. I wish I had some pics. It was very easy.
At any rate, I think you could pull the switch and check the connection that the button makes to at least rule that out.

The air bag and the steering wheel need to be removed to get to the clock spring. there are three different one used, depending upon options. 1 is horn and air bag, 2 is Horn, air bag and cruise, and the 3rd is horn, air bag, cruise and radio controls.
