Dealer wants you to replace the cpu display piece uptop. The cost was like $300 bucks!! That's alot. Sorry I don't have the part number handy. If you ask a dealer they can look it up. But, seems way to spendy for me. I guess you can't just buy a module.

Isn't one of the options to use the autodim rearview mirror with homelink?

I see these on ebay quite often. Wondering if the electronics are there already?

From my understanding this was only available on the Laramie series.

I purchased an overhead console from an '06 Durango off of eBay for a little over $50. I pulled the module out of my console and replaced it with the one from eBay ( couldn't use the whole console as that was different). Turned the truck on and all of the values that had showed on the old module (avg mpg, distance to empty, etc) showed up on the new module (they must actually be stored in the ecu somewhere). Pulled out the owners manual and followed the instructions for setting up the Homelink. It works like it came with the truck. This was truly a 10 minute install !!

I was fortunate that the unit came from a Dodge of the same year as mine so I was pretty sure it would fit. Plus the seller showed both the front and back of the unit so I could compare the picture to the my unit before bidding. Just make sure the shape matches yours and I think you should be good to go....

Heres the part # 56049707AF I paid about $170 for it, thats cuz I got a discount.I know that they are calibarated for the size of the fuel tank so that the DTE function works properly. I don't know what cross references this P/N but it was for a 2005 Ram Diesel (OF COURSE).I was told that they are set up for the gas motors (smaller tank ) diesel is 35 gal. I believe. But I don't ever run my truck that low and when I've been close it seemed accurate right out of the box.So I've never had it checked or recaliberated.

I just received today the overhead console with Homelink from a 2006 Durango that I won on eBay.

Cost was $45 shipped to my door. I pulled the computer part out of the Durango console and put it in my overhead console in my 2006 Mega Cab. Checked the numbers and avg mileage, DTE, etc are all as they were on the old one. Programmed the Homelink buttons per the manual and now I can put the garage door openers away!!

Love this site for the idea and love eBay for the parts!!
