07 Tailights

I was hoping they'd grow on me but I really dislike them. I just don't get the look.

Was there a change from 06 to 07?

If so, anyone know where I can geta good on a set from an 06 truck?

I like the 07 but my understanding is they aren't interchangeable. Otherwise I'd swap you.

They look fine from the rear... its the 3/4 and profile shots that are horrendous. It completely ruins the rear lines- They might as well have put on fins from a '59 Caddy while they were at it...

I guess I'll have to go the led route, since it appears the 06/07 are not interchangeable.

They got to go though...fine from the rear bit hideous from every other angle.

I love everything else on it - guessing Dodge had a surplus of Dakota lights and needed to get rid of em'?

On the Dually they look okay, but on the singles they look like Chevy's.

Might consider changing the tails and sockets.
I agree with the tails of the new ones looking like the Dakota s.

Tail lites is about the only issue I have with my 07. They look good from directly behind but awfull from any other angle.
A swap may be in order. I'm sure that going from 2 to 3 bulbs can be done with the use of 06 or earlier pig tails and sockets. My only question would be the effect (if any) on the "bulb failure indicator" circuit. My uneducated guess is it may work off detecting resistence on the circuit. Any electrical guru out there that can answer that?
I was hoping the new look would grow on me but after two weeks, it's bugging me worse.
