Has anyone changed there headlights out to a different bulb, factory brights suck. Its on a 05 2500 cumming by the way.

 

I changed to Silverstars. They are much brighter, but the setup on these trucks still doesn't light up the road the way some other vehicles I've owned do.

 

Silverstars also, and have done lots of adjustments with the light angles to get it where I like it. Still not the best, but much better.

 

Mine's a 2nd gen, but the theory's the same. I installed Silverstar bulbs, powered through a relay kit to minimize voltage drop. Together it made quite a worthwhile improvement.

I've also found that sometimes the best way to aim your headlights is to stop on a deserted road in the darkness, and adjust each beam until it's just where you want it. Cover up one headlight with a jacket while adjusting the other.

 

Silverstars here as well. They are lots better but, my wifes Caravan does a much better job lighting the roads. Her are stock.
