head lights and tail lights quit working

I just purchased a 93 2500, the other day I was checking the oil and the when I lifted the hood I seen a puff of smoke on the right side of the motor by the relays. Now my head lites and tail lites don't work. I checked my fuses under the dash, they are all fine. Do the head light and tail lights have relays. And if so what caused the issue.

Ahh, releasing the magic smoke. That puff of smoke was probably one of the 3, (I think?) fusable links, located just above the relays. Give them a pull to check. If they're soft and squishy, it's bad. Or put a DMM across them.

Oh, and it's a 250, not a 2500. There's some folks here who're rather particular about the details...
