Tail lights... 1/4 not working...

No, my bulbs aren't burned out. When the headlights are one, the right side rear running lights (top & bottom) are on, but not the left. The lower light illuminates when turn signal or braking is on, but not the upper (can't remember if the upper is supposed to or not). Basically the driver's rear is dark when I'm driving around. What gives? I don't want to get a ticket or anything..

FYI, I was having trouble with my trailer plugged in (factory 7-way on bumper) and had the factory 7-way plug replaced -- which fixed the fact that the left lights on the trailer didn;t work. Luckily it wasn't the "integrated whatever it is" that's in the hundreds of dollars. I think the tech also said the fuse was blown. I assume that was from a crappy trailer hookup at some previous point in it's life.

Ideas before I get a ticket ?

I know you say the bulb/s aren't burnt out but I just replaced my wifes rear upper drivers side brake bulb tonight (03 durango). Running light worked just fine same bulb, no brake so it's a 2 way bulb, one for running lights and one for brake. Didn't look burnt and the filaments looked good as well.

Replaced and all is well. For $2.50 I at least try.

Good luck.

sounds like maybe jsut abulb. they are duel filament. one for running lights and other for the actual brake light. start with the bulb than work your way up. always start at the cheapest route.
