Had to turn of engine at drive thru

The people on here that are that **** about the magic 300* "no not yet it's only down to 325*", are probably the same people crying to the dealer about their truck and the infamous "extended crank time" crap. My truck cranked 1.235 seconds instead of the usual 1.213 seconds it usually does. Must be defective FIX IT. Posts like that make me glad I don't work at a dealership.
I would be willing to bet that it's because of either lack of maintaince (oil changes) or poorly built turbos. (i.e. 6.0 powerstroke VGT.)
I'm not saying you should peg the pyro and then shut it off, but refusing to shut it down for a few seconds to order food? Come on! Sounds more like "I can't swim for an hour I just ate"
Because they DON"T break down on the SIDE OF THE ROAD.They whine and scream/suck oil and go into shops for replacements.I cannot begin to remember how many gas autos I've handled replacement turbos on.Some two or three times over a 100k with new oil feed lines etc

Hate drive throughs anyway.Quicker for the most part to go in.The line is OUTSIDE not in and easier to check the order.Hey I quit fast food a while back anyway because of the poor food, cost and lifes too short not to be able to sit down and eat.I DID handle a LOT of gas powered turbo cars with ruined turbos and SOME had excellant maintance history. But hard to convince owners of cool down.I'm not **** about 300 degrees but at least let it get somewhere near it.

why is your turbo so hot anyways. is the drive thru at the end of the on ramp for the interstate or what. most the ones i go to are in town and you cant go over 35mph any way so if your turbo gets hot at 35 you got other probs. or you just cant drive either way somebody has to have somthin to cry about
