Goodyear gatorback belt

I bought the 4081265 3 years ago and is still on the truck but I thought I would change it cause it's almost got 100k miles on it. Well I went back to autozone for a new one and the computer comes up with 4081261. Well the new belt is .4 inches shorter. Is this gonna effect the tensioner any by being shorter? I know the tensioner expands and retracts but I was wondering about this being shorter. I am aware after time the belt will stretch also but still wont be 126.5 inches like the other before it has stretched. Anyone have an idea? Cause I think I will take the plunge and get the 1265 for 50 bucks vs the new one for 22. Thanks Aaron

Shouldn't hurt a thing. I believe the ac would be the last pulley to do. It will provide a little extra length to work with.

I had the original belt 4081265 and removed it because it seemed loose when the engine was running. I called and told Goodyear. They sent me the 4081261 and its much better in that respect. Check out the Goodyear website and see what they recommend. I believe they changed it a couple of years ago to 4081261.
