Gauge insert for electric 4X4 **** opening 2006 dash

Does anyone make a gauge pod for the electric 4X4 **** opening on my 06?

I am looking to put a gauge in the opening where the electric 4X4 switch would be if I didn't have a floor mounted t-case stick.

I did a good bit of searching, but didn't come up with anything.

Thanks in advance

I also have the manual T-case lever. The opening is just to the left of the heater controls. Its about a 2" by 2" opening. I havn't tried to fit a gauge in it yet, but It would be close to fitting as is.

The problem I see with mounting a gauge right there is when the truck is in gear, your gear selector handle blocks the view of that opening.

I put an mechanical oil pressure gage in that opening and it works fine. It is true the gage is partially blocked by the auto trans shift lever, but it is still quite readable.

To put in the gage, I took a piece of 1/8" plexi/lexan and painted one side black with a spray can. Next, I cut it into squares a little larger than the rear of the opening, stacked them with the pint sandwiched between the sheets and drilled the opening for the gage. I mounted the gage and held the plexi to the faceplate with some L-shaped pieces of metal. Looks good (blackout around gage bezel) and has been holding solid for 2 years.

All of that sounds hard but it is very easy. In fact, I am going to put a mechanical fuel pressure gage in the other hole (right side of heater controls) as my Quad Commander is just not reliable for FP. I plan to just run the diesel inside and put a shut off valve in the engine compartment.
