fuel usage

I only have 21000 on mine but only 17 mgp overall. I drive mostly freeway miles @ around 70-75 . Does that sound ok for that speed? Thanks Dave

Drop your speed down to abut 65 mph and you'll probably see around 20 mpg.

Wink

How about 19.5 @ 72 MPH back & forth to ATL. Maybe the 6-speed is the difference ! Also 2-wheel drive

I can get 20 - 23 around town, but only 12.5 pulling our 10,000# fifth wheel at 68 MPH on the Interstate

Slow down to around 1800 RPM's and see what you get. Also if you are doing N & S highway it will be different than E & W. If your highway speed is constant then it will also be different.
Are you using Cruz or just hot footing it
I can 18 24 on the highway and around 13-16 combined pulling my 5VR.

My 04.5 took a mysterious mile and a half bump. Was getting mid 14's and last tank was over 16. Almost 4K on the truck.

I just averaged 18.5 over 200 miles with speeds from 55mph to 80mph.

I get 19+ all the time doing 65-70 with some town driving. Thats on the pen and paper! Ooh I have a lumber rack on the roof if not for that sail I could brake the 20 mpg barier.

Easy on the foot and don't drive like a jack a$$ and your mileage will go up. I also am a firm believer in using a good quality diesel fuel conditioner.
