Floor Jack

Will a 3 ton floor jack be sufficient to pick up the entire front end of a 2006 Dodge diesel. I currently have a 2.5 ton and it will only lift one side at a time. I would like to get the whole front end up at once. Thanks.

Use the floor jack to jack up one side at a time, THEN put the whole front end on two jack stands.

That's what I have been doing. Even if I pick up the whole front end at once I always use jack stands. Thanks for your reply.

4x4 or two wheel drive?

I would be nervous about placing a single lifting point in the middle of a solid front axle on the front of these trucks.
I just seems to me it wouldn't necessarily end well for the axle.
Just my humble opinion.....
