Firestone Transforce AT air pressure?
Hey Ya'll,
I'm running this tire @ L265 70R17 and wondered what pressure you run at?
Tire says max at 3185 lbs is 80 psi.
I run 55 psi all around and not towing.
Just wondering.
thanks
ps. I'm very happy with this tires performance in weather, etc.

I have those also , they may say a min. , but I do not remember .
If you want max load and or highest millage , 80 psi .
No load , little softer ride , around 65 psi .
Watch you tire wear [ need a tire gauge - one for measuring depth ] and keep ware even across tread .
I run about 70 psi .

Thanks John,
For the price you can't beat these tires in snow, rain, mud or sand.
They're showing almost no wear after 20K.
I'm thinking to up the pressure from 55 to 65 from your post.
thanks and have a real good 4th, I.m going to a pig cookoff at the local FD!

I run those for summer tires (they stink in the snow, IMO).
For empty driving, I run 50 psi rear, 65psi front. Seems to keep the tires pretty hard without being too harsh.

You need enough pressure to create a flat contact patch. That's the real answer.
More weight needs more pressure. Never run at max pressure, unless you're running at max load.
There's a sticker on my door jamb that provides additional pressure information for driving empty. I can't remember the exact numbers, but I'm thinking something like 60 front, and 50 rear.
