Factory sirius radio

I have an 06 3500 with the Infinity upgraded sound with 6 disk changer. i did not get the factory sirius setup. i since have gotten sirius and was wondering if i can get dodge to make my stereo accept the sirius using the factory controls (on the steering wheel as well). I do not want to replace the entire radio since i know that will not be worth it (too much $$$).

thanks in advance

You can add Sirius to any radio but you cannot use the radio to tune your Sirius reciever unless it is Sirius ready.

Actually, I think you can. Do a search in the TDR for Sirius or XM. SOmebody found a unit that plugs into the back of the radio that gives you most of the features of factory sattelite radio. I know I bookmarked it at home, but I dont have it here at work

I maybe mis-reading your post. If you have the factory radio, the antenna should be on top and its free for 1 yr.

Thumbs up Sirius Radio

My 2006 had the build code for Sirius Radio to have been installed at time of assembly. As it turned out the truck didn't come equipped with it and only had the cd player radio. Upon this discovery dealership installed the necessary Sirius Radio equipment to the truck. The dealership used the original radio that came with. It cost under $400 for the dealership to install it which should be on DC's dime for there original mistake. Haven't tried it yet left to come back to Iraq before I activated service but the free weather channel worked really good. I expect to be happy with it as I have had it before.

You can get Sirius from Dodge, the system just plugs in and you can install it yourself if you don't mind drilling a hole in the roof. It really is easy.

Or you can buy a aftermarket magnetic antenna.
