Our 06 exhaust tip burned\rusted out where the long end, nearest the bumper, goes. I got a new tip which is cut at an angle and was wondering if it could be aimed down, with the longer end on top. or if there is a reason the long end should be toward the rear? thanks

 

Dodge did it just to be different. Put the tip on so it looks good to YOU! Its your truck!

It has no reason for the way it is. I think pointing down would also help a little with soot on the bumper. Not sure but it makes sense in my head!

 

When I had my replacement exhaust sys tem installed I had them put a turn-down tip on it and angled it about 45* to the rear where it comes out behind the rear tire. It keeps the soot off the truck and it really cut down on the drone; practically none at all.
