I have a Pioneer 1.5 din that I removed from my Chevy HD. Will this fit into my stock opening? I can't seem to find a install kit that leaves those little 'ears' on the side of the stereo.

 

Look around some more my local shop sells the kit's with the ears.. I 'm thinking about a dvd player there and asked what they would do with the *****?? and he showed me pics of the little ears!!

The only install kit I can find looks like this and only fits a single din chassis.

 

I think if you search this and perhaps the other 3rd gen for "kenwood" or "pioneer" you may find more options, usually in the context of in dash navigation. Perhaps that is the only kit that fits the standard dash opening which is not large enough for 1.5 DIN.

To fit a 1.5 or DD I think you need the factory nav dash pannel, or do some cutting and you would use an adapter something lile this:

Save yourself from the fugly ears and get the factory nav dash.
