Dealer recommendations for Omaha area

Greetings all,

I am looking for recommendations for dealers in the Omaha area. Interested in purchasing and service recommendations as well. Appreciate any advice you can provide. Recently found this forum and joined. My 98' has seen better days.

Thanks for the help.

I'd recommend Woodhouse in Blair, that's where I purchased my baby. I had a couple of oil changes and the transmission line recall done there, there service dept is, IMO, pretty good. They were quick and did very good work on my truck. They'll also give you a good price on a new one, I think they sell more vehicles at that dealership than just about anyone in the country. They also give a 1st time diesel owners class every quarter. If you're new to diesels, the class is very informative. BTW, if you hear of any MVS systems programming jobs opening up in either Omaha or Lincoln, give me a holler. I just moved to Kommiefornia from Arlington, NE and would give just about anything to go back!!

Just noticed your handle, can you say GO DAWGS!! Just kidding, I grew up in SE GA and have been a UGA fan since I knew what football was!

I know guys who have bought from Woodhouse, they had nothing but good to say about 'em. I'm not sure what the service dept. was like, but they were pretty happy with the deal they got on the vehicle.

My in-laws are from near Blair, they tell me Woodhouse is the place to go. Last time I was out that way, I saw what looked like about a hundred Ram pickups in inventory parked on the hill behind the store, pretty impressive sight.

I bought mine at Baxter. Great sales staff, not so great service dept. If you go there, talk to Bill Grieve (sales). As far as service goes, the only guy to talk to is the Service manager, but I don't remember his name (only had it in service once for TSB).

I have shopped Woodhouse, but their numbers were never as good as I could get in Omaha. I have heard that Woodhouse is the best dealership in the area for service.

I would also tell you if you are interested in any mods, go talk to Randy at Diesel Specialties. His blood has a cetane rating of at least 50

Good luck shopping!

You're close enough to St. Louis to check with
Tom Chaney. "TomeyGun" can't be beat for price!
For me - CA was just a bit too far - came close,
but still never beat (or matched) his price!
