I've got to get in and change the bulb behind my tach, the "3" is dim. I just noticed that my climate control ***** aren't lit up at all. Is that normal or do I have some more work ahead of me?

How much of a bear is getting behind the panels?

7mm and a 10mm socket with long extension and grab some coffee. Not a hard job, just a couple of the screws are a PIA.

which center console (cup holder area) type do you have? below the hvac controls there are 2 screws that have to come out and the only way to get them is to take the entire center console apart starting from the portion against the seat and work your way forward. most people leave those 2 screws out rather than re-installing them, that way they can get to the hvac and stereo in the future and not have to tear the entire center dash apart.

 

I was told you can't replace the bulbs in the hvac controler. Had to buy a new controler. Sounds like I lied too based on cbrahs post.

 

if I remember correctly, the dealer is going to tell you that they can't be replaced. There was a thread on there not too long ago that someone changed all the bulbs, also found a site that sold em in different colors.

 

I just had to do the 3 bulbs for hvac controller . . . easy job and 3 bulbs at the dealer were less than $2 total . . . took 10 minutes and done .
