Awesome! You'll never go back. I've gone so far that the only gas powered engines I have are small engines.

Welcome and can't wait for the photos.

Happy Truck Day!

I felt the same was as you buying my '06. I'm driving it until the wheels fall off. Then I'm putting new wheels on and going again.

not worth the few hundred, just put some $85 timbrens on there and you have better payload capacity then a 1-ton. or go a step farther and get air-ride shocks.

My thoughts exactly. I mulled the 2500 v 3500 when truck shopping last year and that's my deciding factor. We're planning on an eventual toy hauler and I want to have room to spare, so to speak. I don't like just squeakin' by on things

It depends. Around here the resale value of a 3500 is much higher and will more than compensate for the initial price difference(not that I would ever sell any of my trucks )
If you have to deal with the dot they are only worried with what the door sticker says
Your insurance may very well be cheaper on a 1 ton.

May you enjoy your new truck to it's fullest...you may wish to consider a second job now for all the good things you can do to it!
anyway, have you joined the DTR Megacab Club yet?

I saw a test a while back.... Maybe on TDR... They took the exhaust OFF a 3rd gen with the full 4" and ran it on a dyno and got the same power as with it on.

Conclusion: Don't put your money in a fancy pants exhaust.

And the 2500 is the same as the 3500 except for the overload springs. The Dually has less capacity (if you want to follow stickers, I know I'd rather load a dually any day) but the SRW is the same except for a few pounds of spring added.

And I put Firestones on mine....

really...... been doing a little reasearch and i think im going to keep the stock exhaust and just go with an air filter. i got just around 22mpg today, so im definately going to keep the mods to a minimum. i dont want my mpg to go down.

i would cut a hole in the airbox and put a pipe on it and call it good for the air box as for the exhaust cut the cat out and put a tip on the exhaust and you have your own aftermarket exhaust seriously that is what i would do. as for the airbox the ****** whistler is also another alternative to the stock box!
