Clutch/starter switch gone
Well . . . .41K on it now and I went to start it today and it was like I wasn't even turning the key that last bit. My first guess worked out. Got down and goofed a bit with the switch behind the clutch peddle on the shaft headed through the firewall to the hydraulics and it didn't seem quite right. The switch assy just floats on the arm until the peddle is almost fully pressed then it makes contact with the fire wall and shorts. But I got the truck to start.
Dodge wants $109 for the switch. . Worth about $10.00 and that's generous.
So it looks like I get to take the switch out and short across the connector. Now it will be like my older sticks and will crank clutch in or out. Not to hard to remember in my mind. Thank you Dodge for another fine electrical part.

I know of a 2nd gen that had that problem, and got that solution.
A while later a guy was standing in the open door and reached in to start it (used to autos).
Result was crumpled door on the truck, and the rig next to it...
