Center caps

just upgraded to new H2 wheels and am looking for a second set of center caps (the stock ones, plastic I think) so I can cut/fit them to the H2 rims. None on ebay and dealer wants way too much for them. I am keeping the stock wheels for a move to AK at the end of the month and a move back in 2 years and don't want to tow a heavy trailer on the H2's.

Anyone have a set of 4 they want to part with? I will pay for shipping, packaging.

Id like a set of silver ones.. I know they require modifications, but they look good with the H2 rims...

It's more work but the H2 wheels can also be modified to work with the stock caps so you can change between the 2.

When I machine my H2 wheels, not olny do I open up the hub bore but I also open up the center cap bore to 8.5 inch down to within .1 inch or so of the lug face. This alllows the Dodge caps to go on without modification.

If you don't have adequate depth throw on the CNC mill, it takes 2 setups to do the big bore with arc's vs. just programming a circle.

I'm getting ready to go on vacation this weekend so I don't think I'll have time to take a picture. I did the original 4 a long time ago (I think I was the second person to convert to H2's) mand you can search way back & maybe find original posts by looing for H2 way back in the 3rd. gen forums.

It's really just a metter of opening up the cap bore to 8.5 in. almost to the bottom.

Someone that is capable of milling the center bores would also be capable of opining up the cap bore. You can't do it with the hand tool method that others have recommended.

commonrail,

No problem, if I decide to switch to H2 I have a master machinest that can handle it.

Have a safe fun vacation.
