He really wants a Cummins to start messing with and use for work and nothing on ebay goes for less than $7k??? Is that as cheap as he can get a truck with less than 300k miles?

Local paper, craigslist, autotrader, ebay are all coming up with nothing. He has really only got $5k to spend can he get something for that 1gen, 2gen...

He would probably take a truck with more miles than that if thats all he can get...

 

cummins motor and cheap usually doesnt go together but he should easily be able to find a 1st gen for 5k and even a 2nd gen especially in 2WD. Rr does he need 4WD?

 

You'll find some 1st gens for $5,000.

Well from my experience you can get one at an insurance auction with a very light hit for real cheap. Since I am a dealer I watch them often and nowadays you kick your fender hard and it is gone! Or a lit front end hit and that baby is off to the auction!! Let me know what you are looking for and I can do some looking?

Thanks a ton for the help I am sending this thread to him I will get in touch with you he needs an extended cab but other than that 2wd/4wd 1gen/2gen are all good just looking for the best deal he will buy tomorrow if he can find the right truck not to far away.
