A/c Condenser Cooler

The first coil closest to the front of truck. Anyway got stuck loading 4wheeler on sat.Backed down in ditch while it was raining[first mistake]A guy tries to pull me out with 1500 chevy 4wd with 33's 4 hours later still there.[second mistake] convencing me to use steel hooks with some weak looking straps well you guessed it.Hook found its way thru the opening were the tow hooks are right into the coil. It is not leaking at all . Dealer wants 407 bucks for it plus 175 labor. My ? could it build pressure and blow or not worry about it until it starts leaking.
forgot to finish my story so after all that happened got a shovel dug out best i could put 4 wheeler ramps under each rear wheel backed up 4' or so second try I was free.

If it were me, I would only replace it if, or when it leaks.

I've got a good rock smash on mine that I was surprised didn't leak.

Then I put a Kilby guard on it.

Keep on trucking unless it leaks down. I have seen them smashed into a U shape from a wreck and never replaced because they never leaked. Get all the goody out of it you can.

Wait for it to leak. Then buy it, put it on yourself !( takes all of about 10 minutes if you are crippled! ) Then take it to a reputable a/c shop to get vacuumed out and recharged. Make sure they add dye to the system too. That way if you ever have any new leaks, the dye will tell the a/c shop where it is leaking. Also tell the a/c shop what item you replaced and they will know how much oil to add for that component.
