Both mine and my buddies trucks cycle the A/C clutch too often and insufficient cold air at idle, when eng temp is under 140.Anyone else had this one happen??

That's strange. My A/C blows ice cold regardless of the engine temp or speed. However, I do notice that if you have the fan on the highest setting it doesn't seem to blow as cold as the 3rd highest setting. This is even more noticeable when I am idling.

Yes, I have the same problem on my 03. But as soon as I start moving it blows cold.

because of the new "improved/ozone friendly" freons there is not enough air passing trough the condenser on a hot day to help the reaction. As far as your A/C cyling that fast it leads me to believe there may a problem

Usually if it cycles to much it's do to low pressure/insufficient refrigerant. It should only cycle when blowing could enough air that it doesn't need to get colder.

I had the problem with my 03. At idle, no cold air. Get moving and no problem. Mechanic said fan not pulling enough air through. He fixed it, but wife picked up the truck so not sure if that was what it really was. But I don't really care, since it works great now ;D

Same problem with my 2003. No big deal however, as it works fine once I start moving.
