BiXenon HID help

In November I purchased the BFXenon kit. Tonight I installed the Retro Solutions kit- neither work.

My problem with both kits is that when the truck is running, when switching from high beams to low beams the low beams will not come back on. It doesn't do it immediately, maybe the 5th cycle or so and this only occurs when the truck is running. To get the low beams back on I have to turn off the truck. This renders the function of the kit useless.

Also both kits have polarity issues with my truck from the factory. The harness from the ballast with the BFXenon kit was backward on both driver and passenger side. I was easily able to reverse them , just unplug and connect the other way, although this renders the securing tab useless. On the Retro-Solutions kit the polarity is wrong on the passenger side only and I cannot figure out how to easily reverse the polarity. The harness isn't made to be reversed and I'm not excited about opening anything up until I talk to them and unfortunately they are closed.

After a fight and threats I got a refund from BFXenon. The were originally only going to offer me a store credit.

I returned the Retro-Solns kit under warranty and they haven't worked from day one. I haven't received them back yet. The light output is an improvement but my total time invested is obscene (and to this day I don't have a functioning kit on the truck).

It's bi-xenon. Single bulb with hi and low in it.

BF kit was: http://www.bfxenon.com/Dodge_Ram_Hid...0710ram-hl.htm

The high beams in the BF kit never worked correctly. The low beams threw good light but no point in buying a kit with high beams if they don't work.

RS kit is: http://retro-solutions.net/product-i...ct/prod_id=664

Yes, I used the relay. The headlight harness had a loose wire in one of the couplers for the headlights which I believe caused a ballast to lock. I have no clue what is wrong with the fogs. They were blowing the fuse in their independent harness. And as I said before I still don't have the parts back from them.

I will correct my original post: the RS kit didn't have a polarity issue. The BF kit did on both sides.

Did you install a load resistor on the low beam circuit?

The RS kit comes with resistors. I got the ballasts back today and so far everything works in the garage.

HID kit

I just put the RS 5000K Bi-xenon HID's on my 2004.5 last Sunday. Took about 2 hours no issues and big time better visibility.

PM if you want and maybe I can help you.

Thanks. So far they are working. I suspect one or more of the ballasts were bad.
