I need Help With HID'S

Hey guys I bought Hid's finally. I bought the Bi Zenon Kit so it has HID high beams and low beams. I also bought the fog lights. For some reason my low beams high beams and fog lights all work if the key is off. But if you start the truck or just have the key in the run position the low beams and fog lights will work perfectly but if you click the high beams on they just flash on and off quickly like once a second but if the key is off they work perfectly its only when the truck is running or the key is in the on position. I thought maybe it was the grid heaters messing with it but I drove it for about 30 minutes and tried them and it will do it no matter what if the key is in the run position. I installed two 35w4700us capacitors inline before the ballasts as instructed by the company that I purchased the kits from but that made the lights not work at all just the fog lights since they are on a different system. The wire looked pretty small to be coming out of that big of capacitors but im not sure if thats why they didnt work or not. Im not sure whats going on can someone help me please???Thanks guys

You need 3-4ohm 100 watt alum heatsink resistors wired in series with the low beam wire. mouser.com

The alum heatsink helps keep them cool. Your plug for each bulb has a high, low, and gnd wire. You need to connect the resistor between the low and gnd wires. The low beam circuit senses current draw and if its less than what the stock bulb should pull it cuts power to the circuit. It only does this on the low beam wire though. You can manually connect the stock high wire with the low wire on the hid plug and you will only have low beam from the hids when you have the truck switched to high because the circuit for the high beams doesn't care about the amps. This will work until you can get some resistors ordered. Don't know about your stereo, maybe if you get it wired right it will stop.

Ok so my kit has one set of wires that hook into the factory plug with the low high and ground wires then they go into a relay. They dont come back out of the relat it just has a little bitty plug with two wires that cause the bulb to raise. So just put one inline before the relay since thats the only place to?

Did you replace the stock reflector housing with aftermarket projector housings? If you use just reflectors with HID bulbs, you are probably reducing your overall visibility. Here is the link where I get my information... Daniel Stern Lighting

I just wired the resistor in the stock harness right before the stock bulb plug. With the stock 06 housing I just added the HIDs and they are BRIGHT!

I am not trying to pick a fight, just trying to get more information for myself, but have you considered the excessive glare you are causing other drivers? Do you think the immediate ground is flooded with more light than non-HID lighting. How do you think this effects your long distance night vision with a lot of immediate ground lighting?

I have adjusted the beams down a little. There is a pretty good cut off so I don't blind others. When I hit the high beams I can see about a half a mile. Does good for a non HID housing.

Can someone post a link to the EXACT resistor they are running? (3-4 ohm /100 watt)

The Mouser site only has about 33,450 different resistors.

I hooked them up with NO resistor, haven't had a single issue out of them.
